Who are we?
The Operating Room Nurses of Greater Toronto (ORNGT) was founded in 1960 for the purpose of uniting perioperative nurses across the Greater Toronto Area. The primary goal of ORNGT is to promote and maintain optimum nursing care for patients throughout the perioperative phase.
Continuing Education
Providing continuing education for the membership consistent with College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) licensure and Canadian Nurses Association CPN(C) certification requirements.
Sharing Knowledge
Promoting the exchange of ideas and knowledge among perioperative nurses.
Provincial Representation
Provide representation for association membership at the provincial level, Operating Room Nurses Association of Ontario (ORNAO).

ORNGT is a professional organization of perioperative registered nurses in the Greater Toronto area. Membership in ORNGT includes the following benefits:
- Networking with fellow perioperative registered nurses
- Educational sessions (4 times a year) covering a broad range of topics which impact perioperative nursing today and tomorrow
- Educational opportunities to attend sponsored perioperative nursing conferences at the International (AORN & WORLD CONGRESS), National (ORNAC), Provincial (ORNAO) and Regional (ORNAHD & ORNASCO) levels
- Subscription to the OR Journal
