ORNGT Annual Scholarship Award
Eligibility
- Enrolled in a Perioperative Related Nursing Program, for example:
- Baccalaureate Degree, BScN
- Masters Degree, Nursing or Health Related
- PHD, Nursing or Health Related
- Registered Nurse First Assistant
Criteria For Application
- Each application will be reviewed and evaluated according to the criteria set by the scholarship committee
- A scholarship will be awarded once only per member
- Registration is restricted to one of the above programs
- Applicant must be an ORNGT member for the current and preceding year
- Scoring criteria will include presentations, publications, nursing activities, membership associations, preceptorship, CPN(C) & community involvement
Logistics
- FOUR Annual Scholarships will be presented each year
- ONE award will be entitled: "The Wanda Ward Leadership Scholarship"
- An application form can be obtained from ORNGT or your hospital
- An unsuccessful candidate may reapply annually
- Completed applications are to be returned to the President of ORNGT by deadline (May 15th of each calendar year)
- Awards will be presented at the Annual General Meeting In June
- Scholarship Awards are $ 1,000.00 each
